By the way for those that forgot this thread was started because a Guy by the name of BRAD at MIDNIGHT PERFORMANCE off clayrd. and gessner said he could paint my car. The Deal was I had an 93 lexus sc300 which came with a Vertex Ridge Widebody kit. The lexus was rough on the inside but he said he had a whole interior for it that would swap it to black. I was only asking 2000 dollars. He said he wanted it but didn't have any cash at the time so i said what if we did a lil trading. So I gave him the Lexus plus the kit and he would do my body wokr and paint my car. The only cost was going to be the paint. (Dropped car off on june 20th or about. Didn't get car back till august 20th the first time.) So brought the car to him in decent shape a few rock chips in the paint and a little booboo on the rear fender. I bought a kit to replace the front and rear bumpers, and bought jp vizage side skirts. The side skirts were hand delivered by me with no cracks, breaks or problems. When he finished the car the first time besides paint issues and runs he chipped my side skirt and didn't fix it. I asked why and he said he figured it happened when it was shipped. I was like really so you would install something messed up or broken on a car that a customer had ordered.

[IMG][/IMG]here are photos of some of the paint he said was great. When the car was delivered the first time only the roof , hatch, and rear fenders looked ok. Even then there was runs in the paint and where he attached my nismo spoiler he cracked the paint on both sides. There rest of the car looked dull and like he couldn't buff it was hazy all through the clear. It was relayed to me that the clear he used was supposed to be baked instead he let dry in his shop which is a mechanics shop there was trash in the paint all over the car.

why don't you take it to a better shop to get the job done? Take you Z to a Mercedes or Porches body shop...or any higher end shop...the price are a bit high but the quality is guarantee for the life.

The only problem that I ever with one of those shop was paint flaking out at a corner of a sideskirt after 2 years. I bring back the car, and they fix it with absolutely no charge.

With a the shops that you gone through+the troubles+the times+the beachhead+the hassle, it's ended up causing you more than a high-end shop.

First time around where u see the pearl was supposed to be ppg eith pearl mixed in its called black pearl ice. Runs bubbles orange peel. So second time i said wait till u can pay to repaint it right and just paint it primet black. The second time he used primer builder and ran out then turned around and used rattle can to finish my passenger side. He had the ***** to ask what was wrong both times he screwed up.

Yeah but 8 thousand to 12 thousand for a paint job thats only gonna be kept for a few years not worth it. I am gonna go wide body in two or three years.

post pics of the SC300 and show them the shitty job he did on that as well. Brad told me its a nice 3 stage paint job with bad *** 20 inch wheels and clean interior, that guy is truly a scammer.

Damn dude, I'm sorry to hear. Some shops nowadays have no sense of workmanship or integrity. Screw him. Post up reviews on yahoo and link the reviews to those flickr pictures. Although before you do so, tell him you'll be doing so, unless he rightfully finishes the job well and to your expectations. Reviews really affect a business/product.
