Yup. Brickyard.. Looks darkish in the shade/night.. but in the sunlight.. the metallic paint pops..

Haven't had a good chance to take good pics since door handles were painted. I am currently at my girlfriends house, which doesn't have a garage.. so it gets dirty immediately after washing

I might have a few lousy shots when I was test fitting; I will attach 'em.

I had paintscratch.com make the paint according to my VIN#, I got a pint (I had lots of parts to paint)... then had a painter buddy spray and clear coat for me... I like it more than the silver handles. I was going to put 3M clear wrap on it too.. but I am not good at that stuff.. and I was moving out of my old place in a rush, so I didn't put it on.

Been here for about a week. So far, things are great. I get internet on Friday, using my girls phone right now. If anyone wants to get a drink or help me put parts on my car, feel free to give me a shout!

Good to hear you're getting settled in. Welcome to Texas.

Hopefully the Houston guys are as good to you as the DFW crowd would be.

Thx. I get internet tmrw (using my girls phone now), so I havnt even tried to get a job yet. Ppl here are really nice tho saying they can help find me somethin. I have a bachelor's in business administration with an entrepreneurs emphasis.. So I can usually wear all hats in a company.. But for the past three years I managed a marketing department for an ecommerce company... And expanded several small businesses.. Do a lot of it and web work as well. Feel free to shoot me a PM. I will have wifi on my computer this weekend to chat more if your company is looking for a hard working employee in houston. So far.. I love the weather.. And ppl.. Was driving my cycle today and saw an old lady with a flat so I stopped to change her tire for her. she was very happy I stopped.. Traffic is kinda crazy here.. I havnt even gone downtown yet but I am sure it is more hectIc than the wrest side. Saw a 370z on clay rd yesterday. Hehe

Well, I got a job.. it's okay. Don't make as much as I use to, has no benefits (also not use to that)... but brings in close to similar cash flow. But now I keep getting interviews for better companies.. (which found me, as I stopped applying). what do people do in this situation? I have one excellent company being really understanding to helping me be confidential and they are really convenient in scheduling weekend interviews and keeping their senior vice president in town an extra day to meet with me.. but, if he likes me, I will have to find a time to interview with other hiring managers next week.. which might be hard when I have to work. hah, and then they will have to make arrangements that fits my schedule... and the pay is 50-75% more with full benefits. Almost thinking I should have just denied the first job offer and kept looking for something more ideal, even if it took a month.. but I wanted to bring in cash flow asap. Not use to this problem back home, where I just took what I could get and commit to advancing within. I am not even qualified for this other position, but they believe my skills are transferable into the position... I also don't like 3-4 round interviews, but I did move to houston for a career and not a job. Should I just keep trying to interview under the radar when possible to places interested in me, or just leave my new job and commit all my time towards finding something more ideal. thoughts? hah.

Welcome to the real world. lol People go through these situations all the time. Personally I'd stick with the top 2-3 jobs that interest me and stick to that. Don't burn any bridges with any jobs you leave just in case the job that you end up going to is all talk and you end up not being happy there. Just my 2 cents

HAH.. Yeah.. I guess this is a common problem for some people.. It would always take me 2 years of employment to realize it wasn't as progressive as I'd like, but I think this one I know from the beginning it is just for experience. I guess I won't burn this bridge unless I do well in other interviews and potentially get another offer. Questions is Job vs. Career... and if I am offered a good career, I won't feel bad leaving a somewhat newly acquired job I suppose...

Hey Guys, I need to buy a cheap car for my girlfriend so I don't have to pick her up at 3 am from the bar she works at every night. Upto $1500; Good inspection stickers, tires, runs fine, AUTO (she cant drive stick), etc. It doesn't have to be pretty.. just want to be able to get it registered quickly. Prefer that it be located on the West Side of Houston so I can easily take a look/buy. If you know of anything, let me know! I definitely appreciate it.

Well; After 5 weeks and 11 interviews.. I was told they are putting together an offer for me. I missed a private call on Friday while I was in a meeting at work, no voicemail left... I am hoping they will call again this weekend or on Monday, and I will be able to take the call. This sort of anticipation is nerve wrecking. hah.

Thanks Robert! Yes, t'is so. They found me, and they made it convenient at every step of the way, just a long process of anticipation. haha. If I accept their offer, I will have to relocate to the North side in a few months... cause the commute will def be killer to start.

Northside FTW! LOL I use to commute from the Woodlands to the Medical Center area. PITA! But it is just about normal these days for Houston.
