Powder coating in Austin?
Does anyone know a good place for powder coating wheels in or around Austin? I'm seriously considering powder coating my Z's wheels black. I really want a different look, and can't afford, and can't see myself being able to afford the wheels I really want for a long time.
So, anyhow, anyone know? and if so, turnaround times?
Roughly what I am looking for it to look like. They would be shinier, 10 second photoshop job here, bear with me.

That would look very slick Rob. I am in the exact same boat...and have had the exact same thought. As a matter of fact, I am considering powdercoating black or very dark grey and adding spacers. Still researching spacers though.
Anyhow, just something else for you to think about...maybe you will not even want new rims afterwards!? Keep us up to date!

They powdercoated some parts for my Z32 and did a great job with a pretty quick turnaround. Tell them Capital Z of Texas recommended you to them and they should take care of you.

I've definitely decided on it. I'm going out of town until Tuesday so I really wish I had planned ahead, I could have dropped them off somewhere and had it taken care of. Oh well.
I'm still looking for a place. I have a few reccomended. Time and cost, probably in that order, are going to be my concern. If a place has the facilities or works with another shop to where I could take them the wheels with tires, they would remove, blast, coat, re-mount, and then balance, I'd be in heaven. I'm sure I'll pay dearly for it, but we'll see what I find.
