Default Powdercoat?? DFW area?

Just wondering when you powdercoat the inside of the rim to gunmetal, would that add weight to the rims? and where is a good place to do it in DFW? and also how much do they usually run for? thanks.

probably not anything you would notice.... you will blast off the paint and clearcoat, so that's going to remove a few ounces. The powdercoat probably does not weigh any more than the paint

I had a set of wheels coated at Quality Powdercoating, 1838 Forms Drive, Carrollton, TX 75006 972-488-0635 about three years ago. The wheels were raw, no paint or anything on them, so I avoided the cost to sandblast them. The color I chose was a dark gray that they already had in stock, so there was no charge for mixing the color. Cost was $40 per wheel, $160 total.

Expect to pay about $25-$45 per wheel to sandblast them. Then figure anywhere from $40 to $150 per wheel depending on the color you pick.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, that help a lot!! I will definitely give them a call. I was looking at a set of wheels that I kind of like, but I wish they were gunmetal, so now, at least I have the choice now if I don't like the stock color. thanks very much.
