Wanting to buy a Z
I am planning on buying a 350Z in December. I really want one now, and waiting is driving me crazy (and I have yet to test drive a Z). But, come December I will have improved my credit rating further, paid off some bills, sold my car , hopefully will have a bonus, an extra paycheck, and potentially Nissan will have special offers.
In December 2003 did Nissan have any good offers on the Zs? Of course a salesman told me they would not do it in 2004, but I don't believe him.
Anyhow, which dealers do people recommend near Austin?
I was planning on getting the Base model, but might be willing to splurge for the performance for the LSD (and its soooo hard to find a base). Any reocmmendations here?
Should I consider financing any aftermarket parts with the Z?
Thanks for any advice. December cannot come soon enough....

Tacomaboy,
I don't know about Austin, but I know that here in Houston, it really pays to belong to your local chapter of one of the Z Clubs.
Austin has a really cool group. If you would like additional information about them, go to: http://www.capitalzoftexas.com
Several of the dealerships here in Houston give definite preferencial treatment to our members....for sales, parts, and service !
As for the car....my personal opinion (for what it's worth
) is that the enthusiast's model is the best bang-for-the-buck. You get the HID headlights and the LSD rear-end for just a few dollars more than the base.
Then you use your club membeship discount to buy any additional stuff (mud flaps, seat covers, car cover, etc...).
It can save you a ton of money, quick !
Good luck on your purchase (come on December!).
I think you'll be thrilled with the purchase, no matter which level you buy.
