Default Newest info on ECUs

I've been out of the loop for a while, and have around $500 to spend on the Z. Been considering exhaust (already have hi-flows) or an ECU. What are the current options out there, and what are some of the pros/cons? Thanks in advance, and sorry for the ignorant question.

how are things in Tuscaloosa? I think the only thing new for the ECU's is that Altered Atmosphere is doing reflashes siimilar to Technosquare. I think some people are using the E-Manage used for the Greddy kit to tune as well. Still waiting to hear if anything is going to happen with the Unichip as far as tuning goes.

Default Unichip

I talked to the uninichip dealer in San Antonio and they are telling me that they can do the tuning with their setup but that they do not existing maps from previous tuneing jobs so it HAS to be done in shop, on a dyno and that they would be starting from scratch.

Not really willing to do the Guinea pig thing.
