UTEC MAP Problem
I realized this today.
I was trying to tune for the 10% and 20% columns. All of a sudden I realized that car had started running lean (around 14.5) while it should use these columns. Next thing i saw was the car wasn't using the 10% and 20% columns where it should be using (3-4psi)! Then I looked to see if the map values that UTEC was reading are right and it wasnt. UTEC MAP was reading
-27 psi while on throttle and +45 psi while i was cruising off throttle!!! I stopped and pulled the car to the emergency line on the highway. Stopped the car, waited for some time and restarted without touching anything, and all was working fine again. I checked to see if that will happen again but it didn't.
I cant imagine what kind of problems this would create if it happened during WOT with 15-18 psi of boost!
Any ideas why this could have happened?
