You will probably gain a few whp out of the box, but realize much more power with a comprehensive retune. You appear to live in CA, so Z Car Garge in North Cal, and GT Motorsports in So Cal will be your best bet for tuning services.

What kind of tuning and how do you tune an engine with I/E? Doesn't one need something like a UTEC or an AFC to perform engine tuning?

That's correct. We use a UTEC on most of our cars now. They are $945 shipped, and can purchased online, or through the shops I mentioned.

If I may digress just once more, the $945 does not include tuning or installation? If one drove in with a car full of bolt-ons, about what would it cost to drive out tuned?

tune would be nice, but not cost effective with those minimal mods. Tuning will cost you around $350ish NA. Install would be around $75 if you find a reasonable shop.

1 hour labor for install, and $375 tuning charge for an NA car.
