Doing free-air calibration on WB O2, can I do this stand-alone, or only in-car?

Doing free-air calibration on WB O2, can I do this stand-alone, or only in-car?
Title says it all... I was just wondering if I can do a free-air calibration off the 9v DC (doubt it) or if the Tuna has to be installed in the car to get enough power to heat the WB O2 for calibration?
I can't imagine there is enough amp from the 9v to heat that O2, but then again I have no idea what goes into making them work.
Thx!

Ahhh..gotcha. Ok ...the manual wasn't clear (or I misunderstood). I thought this was an initial calibration thing, as well as an ongoing maintenance thing. Well, that's good to know that it is unnecessary on first setup. I thought the manual was suggesting that it was a "Tuna meet O2 sensor" kind of thing, so they could get to know each other.
Thx!
