UpRev Review and Tune
So, I just finished my last mod until I go F/I. I had HFC installed last week and had UpRev tune my car today.
Some may not know about UpRev, but they are a shop in Austin, TX that does tuning, installs, etc. They are the ones that designed the Cipher. Their customer service is second to none! Chung, Jared, and Matt have been awesome to talk to and to work with. They installed my HFC on a sunday...talk about service. Every question I had, be it dumb(which most were), were answered very professionally and in a way that I could understand. They are a great group of guys that very, very knowledgable.
The tuning started around 4:45pm today and was done around 7pm. Jared reflashed my ECU and the first pull put 231ish (cant remember the exact number) to the wheels. We set the A/F to 13.0, that seemed to be my cars sweet spot, messed with the timing for some more power, and I ended the day with 243ish at the wheels. After the dyno, Jared street tuned my car to make sure everything looked good, showed me how to get to my different maps, and I was on my way.
The map switching is very easy. I have an UpRev map, valet map, and 3 stock maps. To switch, I hold the "set" down and press "cancel" once for map 1, two times for map 2, etc. The slip light blinks once for map one, twice for map 2, etc...
As you can see, I am one happy customer!
They will definately be doing my TT in a few months!

The custom tune costs vary per application...ie: each map takes time to tune, different mods take different time to tune, etc... www.uprev.com has the mail-in reflash rates...best thing to do would be to contact UpRev about the costs.

I bought a laptop originally JUST for cipher (but I like it so much it's my main computer now)
at costco, you can return anything within 6 months, no questions asked. so i said, if i dont need or want the laptop anymore, i'll just return it.
I'm glad to hear about your experience with UpRev. Looks like they did a great job with your Z. I have been in touch with Matt & Jared also to schedule a tune. Hopefully, sometime in the next few weeks.
