I dont have an opinion on the greddy option for the simple fact I dont have it. But I assume the logical answer to this product is are you hands on? The greddy will give you the ability to play with your car at home when you want to. The flash is a one time shot that should be done after all mods are done and done by an expert at a shop only so back and forth mailing is eliminated. I for one dont like tunning my cars and I can afford to do all my upgrades at once instead of monthly or yearly upgrades. If you are still upgrading your car or have plans to definately do so in future dont do the flash. Very costly when you add new items and have to reflash.

I've done the flash and heres my opinion on it. I definately don't recommend "mail-order" flashes. It will at least take a trip back in forth when/if you check the a/f and it's not to your VE. But reflashing can work just fine if the shop has your car (I did mine at PalmBeach Performance Nissan dealership. Case in point TechnoSquare. Only thing bad imo is you can't adj. yourself w/o the $$ of hardware/software and license. Mine worked out great but I let the experts make the changes then picked up my car. And I did the flash after all my upgrades were done (very important). If you decide to add somthing new (major mods only) you will have to reflash.

im in CA less than an hour drive to technosquare.. and after i do headers and HFC i dont plan on any other mods. so i wouldnt need another tune. overall how did you like the reflash ? how much power did you get out of it?

For any Z with major NA mods like intake, plenum, headers, exhaust, etc., I think the ECU flash is really effective. I definately felt a difference and have heard many others have said they gained more power than claimed by TechnoSquare themselves. This is because these NA mods TEND to make you run lean most of the time. Some dont. Those running lean will obviously see a bigger boost. Also, the increased rev limiter plays really well with a plenum. Ive been very happy with it.

UTEC is not worth the price if you plan on staying NA.

As far as an EMS/ECU, a TS reflash should do the job right.

No two ways about it...make the drive and go to technosquare. There is something to be said for the old school Japanese mantality.

Mantality - noun. The existence of manly thoughts in a person's mind, often wanting things to be bigger, better, and more personalized. This word was derived from combining the two words man + mentality. Japanese Mantality, as mentioned in this case, means the existence of manly thoughts in a person's mind, often wanting things to be bigger, better, and more personalized in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.
