Default Undecided on reflash; help me out. Do I really need a tune?

Questions are: Will it be worth it to me? Will it be noticable to me?

I've had my mind set on getting a reflash done at Technosquare once I moved out here, and now that the time has come, I'm wavering on it. I've researched alot here on the forum over the last couple years and decided on the reflash over a Utec, since I don't have that many mods and don't plan on adding more.

I know the pros and cons of it; I just wonder if it'll really make that much of a difference on my car when I only have a plenum (Kinetix V+), intake (Popcharger) and exhaust (Nismo). I don't think the UR pullies or 3.9 FD count for anything as far as a tune goes, do they?

For the $600 bux it would cost me, I could get SS brake and clutch lines, the GT-Spec ladder brace to complete my set and prob have enough left to get my roof painted high gloss black to look like glass, which looks hot as ****.

I don't plan to do anything else performance-wise and the car seems to run really well as-is (though it's hard telling where the A/F is since I've never done anything to check it, but I still get some soot on my exhaust tips, so I don't think I'm lean). Removal of the top speed limiter is useless to me and I don't know if I'd notice any change from their "100% open at WOT" programming tweak, either. Only nice thing is the raising of the rev limiter by 500rpm to 7100, which would be a nice pairing with my 3.9 FD, but I really only rarely redline the car anyway... I'd just hate to spend the cash and not notice anything from it, you know?

What kind of gains can I realistically expect and will I feel something noticable after getting it done?

Is it SAFE to rev to 7100 rpm on stock internals?

Should I just bite the bullet and do it, or be happy with how my car is running now and spend the money on other mods that give more tangible gratification?

One option is to get Cipher or Osiris and then decide for your self on tune. Check out UpRev site.

^ well, if I was going to do that, it'd be cheaper just to go dyno, wouldn't it? I guess I'm asking if others on here who have had a reflash done with just bolt-ons have noticed a big difference, thought it was really worth it or had any regrets about doing it afterward.

it's not mindblowing power but for people who had enough breather mods, itmakes the whole car come together. i think 90% of the people who have had the flash think it's great.

i think just go to a dyno (there are places to go for $75 for 3 runs, if you go in a group it's even cheaper) just to know what afr you are in. i did it and i'm glad i did. after headers i thought the car was running great...found out i was lean...14.1 across the whole band...checked my plugs and found detonation and aluminum fragments...that is why i got teh flash. i've been meaning to post a review but wanted to do that when i got the oppurunity to really drive the chit out of her.

Hmm, yeah, I guess I really should do a dyno before ruling it out altogether (just not sure when I'd be able to do it); that, or just bite the bullet and get the reflash.

In people's general opinions, though, with my mods (Kinetix V+ plenum, Pop Charger, Nismo exhaust, UR pulley), am I even in the area of having enough mods to warrant a reflash?

all cars are different. you need to know what your afr ratio is and on what rpms. you don't just slap mods together then decide if tuning is necessary.

I know; I'm just asking if what I have is enough to even warrant worrying about tuning. It's not like I have a ton of mods. If I had an MREV2, headers and high flow cats in addition to what I have, then it's a no-brainer; just not sure with only a few things. Guess I really just need to dyno.
