I have an 06 Z and been thinking about getting a utec tune, though I’ve read many post of people having problems with it and others not.
Basically my question is if you have the turbo xs utec have you had any problems with it or none. (None turbo tune)

 

Nothing that wasn't my fault, there's a few quirks but nothing that stops you from a tune.

 

good point i was wondering if the problems people had was more related to not know how fully work the turbo xs

what you mean nothing that was not your fault

 

Most problems are due to either poor installation or lack of experience. The UTEC is a good unit with flexible features. It installs easily, and comes with great documentation (though it could stand a freshening up). It isn't the highest resolution tuning tool on the market, but it is one of the best day-to-day usable tuning tools available.

MRC has already installed/tuned 50+ UTEC's. It's been out long enough to work out the bugs.
