Default Tuner UTEC problem

I have just installed my tuner kit and I have a little problem. The Tuner seams to work well, it makes the countdown correctly and it reads aparently OK the AFR from the wideband and shows it throught the display. The problem is that from the UTEC dashboard or datalogger I don't read the AFR value, just like it there wasn't the Tuner kit.

I have connected the tuner to the UTEC throught the DB9 cable provided with the UTEC, and I connect the PC to the UTEC throught the USB cable. My Tuner kit is the version 2 but it only has 2 connectors on the back.

I am assuming you can connect to the UTEC via HyperTerminal so when at that dashboard, hit 1 and it will start logging. If you cannot see the A/F values to the far right, something is wrong..

When you're using the Tuner with the UTEC, you connect the Tuner to the UTEC with the DB9 serial cable (like you've already done) but then, rather than connect to the UTEC directly, you connect to the Tuner via the DB9 serial adapter on the end of the flat phone cord that comes out of the right hand side of the box.

so :

UTEC --> Tuner --> Your Laptop

not

UTEC --> Tuner
|___> Your Laptop

exactly.

plug the rj12 cable into the tuner and run that to your laptop. then, connect the rj12-serial adapter, so that you can use your serial port on your laptop. If you don't have a laptop, then you need to buy a usp-serial port adapter. Belin seems to make the best one of those. (sometimes, they are called pc-pda adapters).

What a f*ck!!!!!!!!! I have just found the problem

My tuner kit is bad assembled. They used for the assembly a panel without hole in both sides (right and left). I have removed the ride side panel and there are the connectors, but unaccesible from the outside
