Default I just got Osiris. Now I have some questions.

I flashed my ecu last night. It worked perfectly.

My first question is about the tuned maps that came with it. According to my receipt my 1st map is stock, 2nd is 93 octane and 7100rpm, 3rd is 91 octane and 7100rpm, 4th is low octane tune and 5th is valet. When I select the 93 or 91 octane map the redline should be 7100 but it shuts down @6700rpms. I kept my laptop connected with Cipher running to verify the highest rpm I hit.

Could the maps be wrong? Is it possible that I am doing something wrong?

My second question is about Cipher. What options should I select for logging? Also, what is the best way to log some data?

As far as cipher goes, first you want to set it up to read Air/fuel from the widebands.

Write down the ECU part number (it shows up when you connect to ECU), then go to the menu where you can input the ECU part number to correlate it to the wideband sensor.

Then I'd enable the following at least for datalogging:

Throttle position
Coolant temp
Intake temp
air/fuel ratio bank 1 & 2 (this option will be available if you set it up correctly like I mentioned above)
injector pulse width bank 1 & 2
radiator fan setting
ignition timing
vehicle speed sensor

maybe a few others, but those are the big ones.

The best way to plot everything is using Excel or something similar (You could download Open Office for free if you don't have Excel)

You have to figure out how to import your data log to Excel, usually if you just open the .csv file with excel, it will have some options, and you can tell it to separate columns by commas / spaces.

Once your data is all in different columns, you should look for a run where RPMs are rising the whole time. For example, look for a wide open throttle run that goes from low RPM to redline. For this section of data, use RPM as your x-variable and air/fuel, timing, etc. as your y-variable.

So when you're trying to create a useful datalog, what you can do is (disclaimer... I'm not telling you to do anything illegal)... roll along a stretch of road at 5-10mph, for about 10 seconds in neutral, then put it in 3rd gear and floor it, take it to redline. Even better if you can do it in 4th gear, but 3rd gear will work fine. Even 2nd gear will work fine, but you get better data with 3rd or 4th gear.

Of course be safe and don't do this where you shouldn't be doing it.

When you look at the data, you will see a long stretch of idle RPM numbers... then you will see the part where the RPMs are climbing, and eventually they will max out. Just plot the data from that stretch.

Hope this helps... if you need more help I can give you examples some other time.

What you should get looks like this basically

I had to call Jared from uprev a few times today but I have made some progress. He was a lot of help. If you read this Jared thanks for your help and sorry for calling you so much.

He had to send me a new map that raised the rev limit. I installed that and it is now working properly. I hit 7250 rpms according to Cipher. I think the fuel cuts off at 7100 but I bounced off of it for a second and I think that caused it to hit 7250.

The other problem was I couldn't get to the add ecu section of the wideband conversion setup screen. Only 2/3rds of the screen would load. The add ecu button was cut off. I had to change my dpi settings in my computer from large to normal in order for it to work properly.

So now I am ready to get dynoed tonight. I will post my results in a new thread. Hopefully I log them properly.

I do have one more question. Should I select all of the A/F options for logging? I think there is now a total of 8.

Here are the Cipher parameters you need to log.

This is from an E-Mail Chung Chan sent to me when I asked the same question.

Please log the following parameters.
A/F CORR-B1 (%)
A/F CORR-B2 (%)
AFR WB-B1 (AFR)
AFR WB-B2 (AFR)
A/F WB-B1 (V)
A/F WB-B2 (V)
ACCEL PED POS 1 (V-Accel)
B-FUEL SCHDL (ms)
CAL/LD VALUE (%)
COOLANT TEMP (F)
ENGINE RPM (rpm)
IGN TIMING (BTDC)
INJ PULSE-B1 (ms)
INJ PULSE-B2 (ms)
INTAKE AIR TMP (F)
MAF GM/S (gm/s)
MAS A/F -B1 (V)
THROTTLE POS 1 (V-Throttle)
VEHICLE SPEED (mph)
Use the Cipher option to log 0-60 runs and send 3 or 4 runs to UpRev.

The 0-60 option in Cipher is easy to use because it automatically starts a new log when the car moves and it stops the log when you start to decelerate.
