Has anyone gotten the usb to serial cable to work with the UTI logging software?
My laptop does not have a serial connection but I found out from an evo site that the serial to usb cables work.

Yeah, I got it to work. I just installed the drivers that came with the USB to Serial converter (don't use the ones that come from TXS, I couldn't get those to work).
It created a Com Port 5 to talk to. UTI synched right up to it on my Thinkpad T42.

Good deal. Thanks for the information. I didn't think the UTI would do that without having to really trick it into recognizing the port.
In the UTI interface, you have to tell it which port to look for. I knew mine was Com Port 5 cause that's what HyperTerminal was using. Yours might be different based on your config.
