Default utec and technosquare?

is it really worth getting the technosquare reflash if you already have a utec?

it is if you want to get rid of the top speed limiter or raise your idle.

is there much a benefit from the raised rev limiter or does the power curve cut off too soon anyways to matter?

Judging by your mods and assuming you may get more in the future...you will still maintain power up there, especially if you get cams or f/i

If you just get the L-spec, then it costs much less than the full version, so IMO it's worth the couple of things that it does if you plan on going all out with mods or just "all out" on the streets(safely) or track.

The ecu likes to try to tune around the utec if it's setup for maf. A reflash would help the ecu stay in the desired target range. If it's a map setup then all is good.

Has the ECU ever overridden the UTEC??

Just like she said, if you are using Map then no. Most NA uses MAF so the ECU can learn and do some adjustment of its own.

Are there many running the map sensor with N/A apps?

Orisis is $720 including shipping... I recently ordered it for my own ecu~ Now it stays in my desired target range. If you're using UTEC, the ECU doesn't need to be perfect, just close. The factory tune was intended for good emissions and fuel economy, which was way off compared to my UTEC tune. The ECU kept trying to over compensate for my UTEC MAF tune. So I reflashed the ECU for hp. :-)

That's just a reflash. Orisis is a little different.

I'm interested on doing a reflash on my ECU. I don't care about raising my rev limiter coz Utec can do that, my problem is that every now and then, I get some knock on ECU control. I would like to take out a degree or two of my ECU timing. I haven't really read anything about what Orisis can do but now I'm starting to get interested especially if the price is right.
