Default TurboXS (newbie Q's)

Have a few questions about the TurboXS UTEC;

1. What widebands are compatible with the UTEC?

2. With the UTEC+wideband, is there anything else required for a successful tune? (with a 3rd party tuner)

3. Is there any sort of pickup with the UTEC that allows it to retard engine timing for nitrous?

Thank you in advance,
/R

1. Really, you can use any wideband setup you want. However, the TXS Tuner will directly integrate. With another type, it will have to do its own logging and then you will have to align that log to the log from the UTEC to effectively determine where adjustments are needed. For the price, just buy the TXS Tuner so everything will integrate.

2. Nope, nothing else really needed. I bought a 5V wideband gauge so that I could have a dashboard view of the AFR, but that is just me. If you mount the Tuner or third party wideband within sight, then you don't need this secondary gauge.

3. Yes. It is not a separate "pickup". However, you can have the UTEC control the nitrous solenoid to release nitrous in accordance with the map that you have built. In the end, you would have one map for regular driving and one for nitrous. The nitrous one would turn on the solenoid (and hence the nitrous) at the right point and also retard timing more than normal.

What about a wet kit? Does it only activate the nitrous solenoid?

Kit in question is a zex.

Thanks for the information so far
