^ The LC-1 comes with a DB9 serial cable that uses the headphone jack to plug right into the sensors output. The manual (PDF included on CD) does a good job of walking you through how to set things up right. And yes, UTI 2.7 allows you to enter the AFR delay, but the feature is being dropped in UTI 3 for some reason. I haven't tried out the software on my running car yet, so I hope the delay value can compensate correctly or the Target AFR feature will be quite useless.
