A reflash can give you a little more power and throttle response even if your not modded and can remove your top speed limiter as well. But you may see slightly better gains if you reflash after doing all of your bolt ons first.
the two mods that affect AFR the most, historically have been plenum spacers and high flow cats.
if you are doing either or both, a reflash to tune your car is suggested to optimize power gains from both modifications.

A reflash helps even on non-modified cars. The gains you may see when you first install your parts will diminish slightly as the ECU re-learns it's way around them. The ECU has preset targets that it will try to hit, so it will learn its way around most basic bolt ons. The simple solution to this is to reflash it. Set new targets based on the mods you have.
Recommending that someone wait till they have all their bolt ons done before they reflash is a good idea if they can't modify their flash later on. If you're picking a re-flash that requires you to send in your ECU, don't expect a later update to be free. If you chose a re-flash that allows you to request a free update when you add your future bolt ons, then you'd be wise to purchase that at any time, including if your car is completely stock.
fyi: we offer free eTunes. :-)

Those steps just reset your ECU. Your ECU has learned it's parameters to hit the Targets set by Nissan, it will learn to hit them again whether you reset it our not. It may take a bit longer if you don't reset it. Either way, the ECU will figure out how to adjust itself to hit the stock targets again and you will eventually lose the power gained by your bolt on part. The only way to stop that from happening is to either get a flash tune done to your stock ECU, or get a piggy back ECU to tune your car.
UpRev. Will you please respond to my PM.
Your customer service is the worst that I have experienced. This makes two separate occasions that I have expressed interest in your product, and my email and PM inquries go completely unanswered. Are you not motivated to sell your product?
Amazing.

Why install performance mods and then let your ECU just dumb them down?

Not amazing, busy, we're very busy. You didn't e-mail me this time, I check my e-mail 3x a day minimum. You sent a PM on a board I don't always get a chance to check or I may be waiting on info to respond to you from another person here at Uprev.

What could you have possibly been waiting on? You had already confirmed pretty much everything I wanted to know in the thread previously. Shall I post what you said, to refresh your menory, and then match it to the PM I sent you? I can easily make this information public if you so choose.
Just man up and start working on customer service. Hyping your product online and then ignoring customers is not the way to go. Do you want to be the guy on the forums who has a rep for not responding to people? how long do you think you'll last doing that?
Uprev, so you can confirm me that the stock ECU will correct values even at WOT? many tuners here in Sapin, told me that the ECUs only makes corrections when they are un Closed Loop Mode, and that is below +/-3000 rpm and low loads. At WOT they say that there is no auto learning.
