I'm about to get a used TN kit form one of the fellow member here, from what I've read, I can't just swap the ECU from the seller, although, we both are 04 model, mine is base, his is the track version. (Please tell me if I'm wrong about this). I'm also going to get the UTEC management system, so do I still have to send my ECU to TN for a reflash, or can I just have a tune shop to tune the UTEC, without a reflash from TN. Also I have a Invida N1 exhaust, will that be enough to for the turbo kit, I'm going to have my someone wield a extension to the exhaust system, and can I run single cat or do I still need to run dual cat.

 

Switching the ECU's on the 350z's will not work..They have an immobilizer system that needs that key matched to the ECU.Unless you both tow your cars to Nissan to have them reprogram that, then it wont work.

 

That's not gonna work , the seller is in Arizona, and I'm a Nor Cal.

 

If you are getting a Utec then all you need is to go to your tuner of choice and let them tune it. No need for the reflash since Utec is going to control your timing and fuel.
