Default Dyno choices for tuning purposes

I want to verify that the general consensus on dyno for tuning is that the mustang dyno (load based) is best choice for tuning puposes folowed by the dynapak and then the dynojet.

I have an option of re-tuning my car at 2 different tuners; one with a dynapak and one with a dynojet; no mustang dyno VQ tuners around my area. I guess from purely a dyno point of view going to the tuner with the dynapak would be the better choice tuning wise?

Who cares about the dyno. Go with the better tuner (or the one with the more proven track record if you don't know what I mean by better).

exactly - no tuning is ever merely completed on a dyno, it is a combination of road tuning and dyno use. Pick your tuner based on his/her abilities, not based on what kind of dyno they have. The net dyno results are only relative unto the base run on that same location dyno anyway

i'm guessing you're deciding between Sean and HB Speed. of the two, I'd go with Sean @ Church. i don't have anything against the other tuner, but i know several people who are very happy with the service they received at Church.

Ok guys, focus...let me rephrase the question...

Independent of tuner, what is the better dyno to use for tuning purposes?

Is Technosquare still open? Tadashi was pretty good and not too far away. Also they use a load based dyno. Just note the numbers run about 15 whp shy of what most Dynojets show (in the area).

OK, pay attention That's just it, a tune is totally dependant on the tuner, it has little to do with the dyno.

yeah really no brainer here..just go with the better tuner, who cares if one dyno is better for tuning but the tuner is not a good tuner..defeats using the better tuning dyno...either dyno will be just fine for tuning so just go with the better tuner

OP, change the way you think. A dyno is useless without a good tuner. Make sense?

Pick the dynamometer that will give you the highest numbers. That way your car will be faster.

^^ LOL

The tuner makes much more of a difference than the dyno, so shop based on tuner, not dyno.

Actually not a bad idea I hear there is a good VQ tuner down there.
