Default Haltech Tuning

Looking into getting the car on the dyno and tuned. Any recommendations on which tuner to go? I am roughly located about 2 hours from D.C and Northern VA so I will have to drive the vehicle using the map Hal sent me over. So should I drive to Dynosty which is roughly 400 miles from me or head to another tuner. Options are Hills Garage which is 180 miles away or R/T Tuning which is 300 miles from me.

Thanks Guys

Get ahold of Ray at PF Supercars. He's a good local tuner that knows Haltech and a few other standalones. He tuned Alberto's car if you've ever seen his vids (just do a google search for 'alberto 350z' lol)

Make sure you double check the latency values in that base map from Hal before you get it tuned (but dont' change them until you get it on the dyno!) or else there is a good chance your decel cut and/or cruise control won't function properly. Mine were way off, and I had to completely retune because of it.

I went to PF supercars and had some issues with the car. After they were resolved, I went to Hal at Dynosty In Lexington, KY and he did the tune for me. It was worth the drive.

What issues did you have?

Was it a problem with the tune or do you mean he resolved the issues but then you decided on Hal?

The issue at hand was an injector sticking closed when the car was on the dyno at PF supercars. They did not have any spare DW injectors so I took the car back home. I ended up sending the injectors out to DW and having them tested. They replaced one and that fixed the issue. Then I took the car to Dynosty because their schedule was more flexible for me to get the car tuned.

I also heard from another shop that newer DW injectors are flaky.

Hey Jon. I didn't expect to see you on this side of the woods lol.
BTW it is a 6spd and the trans is holding the power quite well.
