UpRev ROM Editor Issues.
Just updated the software last night. Everything seemed to be working fine prior to last nights update. Cipher and Osiris work fine, but "Open" seems to be grayed out in the File menu in ROM Editor, with or without cable connected and detected.
Cable is connected and detected by both Cipher and Osiris, both have ECU connection as well. Uninstalled and reinstalled using the original install file and ROM editor works correctly on an older software build.
I emailed UpRev already describing the problem, but was curious to know if anyone else has had the issue come up after a recent update, or if its a known issue with a solution.

Present !

Same problem....
Cable status is like as to be, with romedit enabled.
The problem seems to be connected with the new exe itself, with the old all is working.
Or some bug in new license check...the result is the same...

Already written tu UPREV with screen capture...hope a fast solution, the old exe lacks a lot of functionality and has some bugs so better not tu use...

Feel a little better that its not an isolated incident. The immediate previous build worked perfectly. Only previous build available to end users is the one available with the initial installer which has a relatively primitive version of the Rom editor.
Same as other guy. Cable manager states Rom editor enabled. No error messages regarding lack of license. Everything works, the file and preferences sub menu never become selectable.

And i have no backup ol immediate previous build !!!
I hope UPREV fix the problem ASAP !
If not someone with GOOD version of ROMEDIT can upload the all directory in some file depot ? Like megaupload...
Need all dir not only exe, also dll and other files are changed...

Thankssss!

The copy in Tuner Package dowloadable in the site is VERY OLD, beta version with a lot of bug and missing features. For examples is NOT possible to have WOT at every gears...

So best for all that UPREV make an "online update" with ROMEDIT fixed.
I PAYED for it and i woul'd like (let me say better I WANT) to have it good and last version !
Just got the email saying the update fixed the issue. It works now, but now I only have 1 MAF table, whereas the previous version had both.
^^^ the previous version had both MAF tables but they just copied to each other...you couldn't tune them independently.
Also if you guys have any issues you can always email support@uprev.com and well as visit their forums and ask them any questions you may have..

What do you mean when you say they copied to each other?
Last time I was able to actually view it, both tables had close but unique values. MAF 2 values > MAF 1 values at low voltages, but by 5V MAF 2 had higher values than MAF 1.
One bank consistently ran richer too in the 3-4V range. I was considering adjusting one for the inconsistency, but then couldn't figure out which MAF was which, since the passenger side MAF feeds the driver side cylinders. Not that it matters now since the 2nd table is gone.
Are you sure each MAF really only controls one bank though? I thought the plenum was one unit which joined both intakes together. If true, one intake will favor one bank slightly, but not completely feed it.... if you really want to trim banks use the cylinder trim. 1/3/5 = bank 1 and 2,4,6 = bank 2 if I recall correctly.

I can't remember if it was bank 1 and MAF 1, or bank 1 and MAF 2, it's one of the combinations. I'd have to pull up logs, but I think you know what I'm getting at. The rich bank, ALWAYS had a lower or higher value than the other.
Now that I think about it though, if it does use a summation, adjusting one table would have a net effect on the other bank. I just found it odd that they had different calibration values, seeing as how they are the same sensor in virtually identical tubes.
The actual numerical values on the table varied from -10% to +10% relative to the other sensor. Granted there weren't many in the max ranges, but on average I'd estimate around 5%. A peculiarity in the map if anything, I just wanted to mess with it to see the results.

When I talked to Jared last about the two MAF tables, he said they were in ROM editor cause they were testing a few things. When I messed with it a little bit and in the latest version I had, when you changed the values in MAF2 and then closed out the window, when you brought it back up it would just match MAF1 again...

Because YOU are the GURU, about WOT enabler has some words for me ???
Where is gone????

THANKS (as usual...)
^^ I think what you want is in the utilities/tools area load the 'uprev tuned' throttle tables. This supposedly allows full throttle plate opening. To be honest although the logs indicate the TB opening further, I don't really notice any difference in power. Seems like more of an N/A thing.
