I'd be hesitant to do that. Better to tap a new bung and attach the WB's there.

Although upper sensors the ECU uses 90% of the time it still looks at the lower sensor from time to time. i would not remove them if I were you. Even non-foulders in my lower o2's caused me to run rich from time to time. I turned off the codes and removed the non foulers and the car runs much better.

it sounds like hes not using either up or down o2 sensors. can you even do that?

regardless he wont pass obd2 inspection in NY without them

Uprev turns off the 2 set of 02's I believe I had to get an uprev tune to pass inspection in ny what I'm asking is since there "off" can't I just remove them all together and when I get a retune they can just use my innovate wide band in its place since it has data logging

^^^ UPREV doesn't automatically turn any O2 sensors off. The only codes I turn off it the Cat efficiency codes and that's it. I still leave all the O2 sensors active....it makes for much better closed loop control and drivability....
