I'm planning on buying the uprev tuner version soon, now i'm just wondering do i need to buy anything else in conjunction with that. Like a common item would be a wideband o2 sensor with a A/F gauge.
Also how easy is it for one to pick up as we go in terms of tuning. I tired to read all i can on here and there is a LOT of good stuff but w/o having the tuner in front of me to apply what i'm learning i'm feeling useless. Yea i know i could in the end blow up my motor.
Right off the bat, i need to raise my redline 7200, +2 base timing and set that throttle to 100%. Then i guess its time to work the A/F ratio back to about 12.5 because of my spacer and HFC.

Well i figure a street tune for now will cover it. When i'm done adding mods (if ever) then i'll go in for that dyno tune.
price diff between the standard and tuner is $200. Most places ive talked to would dyno tune my car for about $250-450. So a standard plus a dyno tune would be the same me getting the tuner and doing my own little adjustments as i learn. Obviously getting the tuner would be more danagerous and i'll still have a slower car.
I do have a good general idea of how things are done. Ive talked to a couple of subie guys who street tunes their cars and they been doing them for years. Yea i know subie and nissans are not the same but its all similiar in terms of basic in terms of timing and A/F. I'm just going to stay on the richer side of the ratios. Its the launch control stuff i have NO clue about.
