Default Needs help picking out a tuner

Hey guys, I had just bought a 2004 350z last week and so far its been a great car, having lots of fun with it!
I am interested in getting something along the lines of a bullydog tuner so that I am able to adjust all the various settings and such.
The only problem I see is that the bullydog tuners say they are only made for 2005+ Nissan 350zs, but do you know if it might still work on my 2004? If not what tuners would everyone recommend?

I am mechanically inclined, but unfortunately mainly for older vehicles ( I also own a 1969 mustang and a 1974 fiat spyder), but when it comes to newer vehicles im not so up to speed on tuning and everything, but am really interested in learning of course so is there any sort of reading or an article for people like me who are used to working on older stuff and am trying to learn all the newer stuff involving tuning and electronics on newer vehicles?

Thanks!

I would get an Uprev. You can fly by switch with your cruise control.

Uprev makes a reflash tuning product, pretty much the only one thats worthwhile for an NA 350z. Check it out: www.uprev.com

You could try and look into the Cobb accessport, its pretty much like the bullydog youre talking about
Im not too familiar with the 350z and the accessport but i know they make one for the 350z (DE and HR)
It works great on subarus. you get lots of readings and you can download tunes too.
Last time i checked it was about $600... unless you find a used one.
So for $100 more you can get the tuner version of uprev and have it dialed in specifically for your car

Uprev + a few dyno tunes (map switchable) will be somewhere in the $600-700 range, FYI. None of the 'flash n go' products like bullydog are worth your time or money if you want real gains. These engines are tuned very aggressively from the factory and you won't make any more power without a real dyno tune and Uprev as the tuning software.
