Default locating suitable "tach" wire

hey folks.. i have Defi gauge ( vsd basis) that displays a tachometer function.. i need to locate a "tach wire" for the car.. and im hoping theres options for inside the cabin vs wiring to the engine bay.. either way.. curious if anyone has any insight on what i can safely hit to get that signal to the gauge.

I know the system uses CAN BUS but im curious if an injector wire would suffice.. i believe my defi unit can do the multiplication and be adjusted.

Injector wire is very common on the 350z for gauges. I used it on my window switch for N20.

Down by the ecu connector...all 6 outputs are there. Reference the factory manual to get which pins.

I had to tap straight from the coil pack. I think it was the center pin, but don't quote me on that.

Yeah I know that on most cars that my shop in Alaska did auto starts on back in the day..we'd always hit a tach single off a coil pack somewhere. .then just adjust the "# cylinders" setting on the item.to get it reading in the right ranges.. most likely what I will do as well...makes it tricky as im wire tucked..was hoping to hit something inside the cabin..oh well
