Finished the paperwork at 15:40, I was only the third person to put a deposit down at my local dealer, but the other two were buying the full monety GT Pack+RAYS.

I've ordered a Sunset base spec without the RAYS, almost certainly won't be here before 2004 but my Impreza will keep me amused in the meantime.

I was not 100% sure walking into the showroom but now the deed is done I feel good, nardy nardy nardy na, I knew that I would now.

My Salesdude called me and left a message on the old phone.

My order has successfully been processed I don't know what time it went through yet, but sure I'll chat to him later about it.

Talking My order is confirmed!!

It feels brilliant!

Even though I lost my job in January, I've still ordered one, although I can't the GT pack, at £27,795 with the optional 'Rays' Wheels. I've gone for a standard 350Z in Gun Metal Metallic. The dealer has quoted me Q1 2004. That suits me fine, I'll have a job by then!!

And my original '70 240Z will be on the road by then also....

My dealership has just phoned to say that nissan has finally e:mailed him the confirmation numbers, mine is #315. I asked if this meant that my car is number 315 in the first batch 0f 450, he says that this is not the case though, they ordered 8 cars and they all have totally different numbers, he thinks therefore that the order numbers are randomly generated (anyone know different?).
No specific delivery date, just quarter 4 of this year. Will get written confirmation from Nissan GB within 48 hours of start of buisiness on Monday. Exact delivery dates won't be available until the orders are processed by Nissan in Japan.
Here's hoping that we all see some cars in October.

Gizmo

RAYS are fantastic (I was in two minds because the standards look pretty damn good anyway, but was able to live with Mr Nissans closed sale on that point) - heated leather seats ...so what if they will give us piles!............but hey beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!!!

The main thing is that whatever we all choose they'll all be attached to a Z - that'll do for me

Default too lucky for my own good

Got the call yesterday. Mine is one of the 4 orders through West London Nissan that will be ready in 2003. Dealer says probably October.

Not sure if I'm gonna go through with it though, for no other reason than I bought a TVR Tuscan with the allocated Z money last month. Don't have any car payments, it was an outright purchase, but I don't think I can afford both cars.

Tuscan has been 100% reliable and a joy to own/drive, so maybe I should stick with it and pick up a used Z when they're old and cheap.

Love that new car smell though...

Is that a fetish thing going on here ?

No seriously, go Z you know it makes sense - but I get where you're coming from on the TVR (there again, will you take a hit if you sell so quickly?)

What happened to the Aston DB that you were looking to get?

Bargain! I've already heard of two cancellations including Muchas, so looks like you get it this year for sure! :-)

Must admit I'm higher up the queue than I thought I'd be given that I've ordered the cheapest model.

October 25th would be ideal - it'll be my 32nd birthday.
