Perfect 2nd car to complement the Z
No, not yet. I'm actually carless right now!!!
I have to wait until the banker's draft from the Tuscan sale clears before I can buy the Elise. Which means Tuesday. This especially sucks because I'm going to San Francisco on Wednesday, so the poor thing is going to spend it's first week parked at Heathrow airport

I read that as "careless"
More pent up anticipation then & it's meant to rain next week
San Fran is great though, so enjoy.
Seen as you'll be needing something to take your mind off the wait, I suggest you go the comfort food route - visit Ghiradelli's & stock up on chocolate

Oh, you might not fit in the Elise then

I'm distracting myself by planning how to convert my front garden into an off-street parking space. We only get one parking permit per person in my part of London, so I need to find somewhere to put the Z when he arrives.
It's gonna take 8 weeks for the council to grant (or decline!
) my 'crossover' request (that's when they come and build a ramp in the kerb that you can drive over), but in the meantime I have to find a gardener to move my trees to the back garden, rip up a large hedge, lay some gravel and replace a small brick wall with a wooden fence and gates. Easy!
The resulting space is room for 2 Elises (or one Z parked at an angle).

I was going on the assumption that as I'm a hetrosexual "she", the new love of my life would be a "he".
Or are all cars still automatically female?
Thanks, but I am going to ignore your other comment Paul

The first time to SF was in 1989 and they had a relatively severe earthquake (the one that collapsed most of the double decker freeways) about 3 hours after I left!
But you should be safe 'cause I haven't been back since.

I will certainly be visiting the SF Z dealership.
So, place your orders now! Keyrings? Toy cars?

No problem Paul
I will grab loads of brochures and buy a selection of keyrings, which you can fight over when I return!
The good thing is that I am going back in 2 weeks, so if anyone sees something they like I can get it next time.

PS - I picked up the Elise today!
I am SO pleased with it. It blows the Tuscan away as far as I'm concerned, in both drive and the looks (just my opinion of course).
I'm a very happy puppy.

It is certainly not the most comfortable of cars, but I forgive it cos it's such a blast to drive.
Can't believe that you think the Elise is a better blast than the Tuscan
.
Admitedly the Elise is very nimble and fast to drive and that some of the Tuscans could feel skittish, but you must miss the looks and power of the Tuscan?
I will miss the Chimaera in a way when I get the Z...
p.s Can I bagsy a keyring please?
