It's not that bad of a deal. Not having a car show will give a good reason for people to actually get out and drive. Of course, there were some older Z cars that might as well not even attend the event as they were trailered in for the show itself.
They can also avoid complaints about judging and classes that there will always be.
I'm kinda happy that I dont have to worry about keeping the car sparkly clean for the whole weekend.

I booked my room about a week ago, they had rooms available. Not sure about cabins.
