So Sacramento had their BBQ, and now its time to do ours East Bay Style. Monarch Marina Park in San Leandro if any of you have been there is a great park, plenty of room for us, and right by the water. The Park has two parking lots. I am in the works of reserving one hole parking lot just for us. Many other clubs have held their events here such as the MR2 Club, Supra Club and Corvette clubs. There will be charges to reserve and hold some space for us, and that information will follow. We are going to start at 12 on Saturday and go till whenever people want to go home. We really need to Start a list of what you are going to bring and if you can make it for sure (no flakers). Here is some info on the park. I should have more in formation on Monday in regard to the parking.

List of items we will need put your name and quantity next to item.

1. Hamburger buns
2.Hotdog Buns
3.Hotdogs
4. Burgers
5. Chicken
6. Soda (coke, sprite, pepsi etc)
7. Plastic, or paper Cups
8. Plates
9. Napkins
10. Forks, spoons, knives.
11. Side items i.e. Potato Salad, beans, slaw, etc.
12. Water

 

Alright so we are going to have to plan for another park, or risk it and just show up. I spoke with the park manager last week, and she had informed me that we could rope off one hole parking lot for our cars, and rent a large picnic area. This park now wants $200 for the rental, plus we would need to have liability insurance, which would be additional cost. This park does still have a huge lot availible but as I said we would need to pay in advance. this would not be a problem if everyone was willing to chip in and if we could come up with a total number do we could divide it. So I will continue on with the search or as I said we can risk it and show up. We would be able to find an area but parking is going to be a hassle. Any more thoughts from anyone
