Thumbs up Z Attack 8 in Nashville, TN - April 17-18, 2009

After a great Z ATTACK event in 2008, the Middle Tennessee Z Club is ready to do it again in 2009.

This year’s Z ATTACK 8 features a similar schedule and again will offer some very exciting functions. Plus, a portion of this year’s proceeds will go to the Second Harvest Food Bank, a local charitable organization.

We will start things off on Friday afternoon April 17 with the choice of visits to two different automotive-related museums. We will leave from Crawford Z Car Service which is easily accessed and centrally located in downtown Nashville for both destinations. First, those interested can take an hour cruise north of Nashville to The National Corvette Museum, located in Bowling Green, KY. As an alternate, we will offer a visit to the local Lane Motor Museum, current home of the Nissan Heritage Collection, with the museum featuring historic Z cars and other Nissans from the Heritage Collection in addition to the museum’s regular display of 150+ unique automobiles and motorcycles. We will then return to Crawford Z Car Service for our infamous welcome party and dinner for registered entrants and guests Friday evening.

Saturday, April 18 will feature our Z ATTACK 8 People’s Choice Car Show being held in Franklin, TN at the Nissan Americas Building, the recently-opened home and corporate headquarters for Nissan North America, Inc. We will have the show at the front entrance to the building, and in the event of rain, we will move into the parking garage adjacent to the building. We anticipate also having a separate auto exhibition in addition to our show featuring non-Z cars owned by Nissan employees and other car club members. We will serve lunch to those registered which will be catered by Moe’s Southwest Grill.

Following the show there will be a free period to rest, see local Nashville tourist attractions, or perhaps take a cruise on the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway before making your way to the post-show gathering for dinner at Guido’s New York Pizzas, just minutes away from the Nissan HQ building. Guido’s is an excellent moderately priced Italian restaurant offering ala carte pasta, salads and pizza as well as a buffet and full service bar. We have reserved the indoor balcony area for our group.

Your registration for ZATTACK will grant you access to the pre-show party and all activities including lunch on Nissan North America’s campus plus an event t-shirt, whether you enter the car show or not. PLEASE NOTE: There are two separate forms for registering for Z ATTACK 8. One form is for the car show entrant, the second for their guest(s) or friend(s) not entering a car in the show. This is an exciting opportunity for any auto enthusiast, and a must-see for any Nissan or Z car fan.

In addition to these exciting activities, we are continuing to work with Nissan and other sponsors for other surprises and activities, so watch for exciting updates and all the details to be posted on our club website at We look forward to another great event, and hope you can join us!

I wish you weren't there as well but I'm glad you are (if you know what I mean)...take care of yourself over there and make sure you make it back here!

Z events are always a lot of fun but ZAttack is a great one to start with.

You should also consider ZDayZ at the Tail of the Dragon in May!

I'm trying to see if I want to go here or ZdayZ. I went to ZdayZ last year and it was a blast. Heck, I might just do both this year

Z-Attack is an event that Nissan enthusiasts from all over look forward to every year... and our men and women in the Armed Forces are no exception. We recently received a note from one Z fanatic who cannot attend Z-Attack this year because he is currently deployed in Afghanistan.

But that MINOR detail will not deter him! He is registering anyway and we are sending him a special "Z-attack Soldier Pack" with all kinds of stuff that any good Z'er would need "in country"! Now that's Z Dedication!

He and some friends sent us a pic of them and their Z's for us to share with you!

SGT. Char Fick (White 350Z), SFC. Brian Carder (300ZX), and SPC. Clint Noel (Black 350Z) in Bagram, Afghanistan

hmm..historically, we have 65-75 Z's enter in the peoples choice show, with many more actual attendees. Weve had entrants from as far away as Canada and Texas before.

ZAttack is a great way to start off the Z Season for us Northerners - appears you will see a bunch of the ZROC peeps this year. I'll be rolling in with Corbett and his GT-R Thursday night, save a few miles on my '03. Can't wait to see him do some burnouts in front of Crawford Z, lol

Exactly what I was thinking. That is one bad a$$ Roadster. Wish I could talk our 2 or 3 members with the roadsters into making the trip, but that is a long haul in that car. I have a video stashed somewhere from last year, need to dig that out. Will make sure to get one this year - how classic will that be, a '60's Datsun running an '09 Nissan "SuperCar"?

Don't make me bring the all-conquering "Mighty Versa" out.

Looking forward to it. Should be another great event. Thanks to all for their support.
