B&M Short Shifters 350z/G35 33% Throw Reduction
this rattling is what is keeping me from buying it. i know exactly the sound hes talking of. i purchased a short throw shifter for my 300zx tt & it rattled while accelerating, i couldnt stand this. if i remember correctly it was due to metal to metal connections instead of the factory shifter piece that was plastic........

So even with this rogue shifter, since the throw is shortened, leverage is obviously decreased. So some more force will be needed to shift it into gears correct? Ill have to research some testimonies of those who have this rogue shifter to see if there are any downfalls. So far in 3 different cars short shifters just added more problems than they eliminated. Notchiness, rattling, hard to get into some gears, miss shifts etc......I need a shifter that feels solid & is undoubtably superior in many ways over the stock shifter before I purchase one. I honetly wish somone could convince me, I do like shorter shifts..........

Well, having the shifter in my car only 1 day, I can't really comment from experience if there are any problems with it. The 1 day I've had it in though, I haven't noticed any problems and while it does take a little more force to get it in gear, I definitely like feel better than stock.
hmm, Not quite sure if i have heard it in the Z before but I have heard it in other cars. Use alot of the grease in the ball and it should take care of it. At least it did on the other cars.
