The intake doesn't do much so why bother. Hell the stock intake is probably better than my intake.
I think the biggest difference in that car was the ECU/wheels/tires. HP aint nothing if you can't control it. I remmeber seeing the 350Z NA battle, and the amuse car was fast, but the thing that the driver liked most about it was how the power was delivered.
Apparently, on a Z, 255/265 tires is the best combination on the track, w/ superlightweight tires and a powerful ECU

Idk. Japan is way ahead of the USA in terms of NA tuning. I wish we had some of that know how. You also forget that crawford is just one of a hand ful of shops in the US that are into NA tuning. In japan, its ALL about NA tuning.

Wasn't Crawford trying to reach 300awph without cams and stock internals? Correct me if I'm wrong. As for NA tuning in Japan, I wouldn't say Japan is all about NA tuning but they are sure way better at it then we are here in the States. People in Japan like NA motors where as here, everyone is all into FI with heavy wheels

Perhaps weight might've been another factor.

stock GTR weighs 100 kg's more than a stock Z.

Amuse Z was said to have saved an additional 100kg's

so that's a total of 200 kg diff between both cars. that 200 x 2.2 = +400lbs.

our stock intakes are pretty efficient. thats why you dont see hardly any gains from cai's and popchargers.

The Amuse Z owns it. *Drool. Lightweight, entire exhaust system is titanium, sounds like a exotic...I wish Amuse would make some bada$$ lightweight fenders and doors for the G. I'd be all over it.

The skyline has more then 650hp. Thus my comparison of the bugatti and exige it reminded me of what that touge would be since the power levels of the buggatti hinder its cornering ability and has been beaten by the exige in a handling course. If u look in the beginning he was all oveer the place. The Z even struggled a bit but was able to maintain better speeds in corner entry and exits.
