CSI Miami is shot in LA, most of this episode was shot in Long Beach actually. Their studio is in Manhattan Beach, same location as Greys Anatomy, the OC, etc. Looks like they used Volk350Z's car in a lot of the scenes which we were both expecting, he had a full day of shooting more than I did so it only makes sense. The car looked really good B! Too bad they took off all the stickers.

the only problem shooting CSI Miami in Socal is that the camerman has to avoid showing a sunset on the coastline.

I don't get it. Miami is in Florida, which has two coasts therefore it would be easy to film the sun setting on the coastline.. You're not talking about Kentucky here.

Did anyone else find it funny when they were explaining what drifting is they went close up on the rear wheels of the Eclipse when it is a front wheel drive car. I guess don't sweat the small stuff.

Uhhhh.... it's not like you can see the west coast of FL from Miami.

No you can't but the west coast of Florida is less than 2 hours away from Miami if you really wanted to film off the west coast. what would be the difference if they were to filming inland in CA? None. Regardless Miami Beach has a coastline which takes 10 minutes to get to from Miami. My point being is if they film in Florida there are two coasts that they could film the sun setting into. Ztalker made it sound like Florida is like Kentucky when it comes to coasts.

No, he was just saying they have to be careful not to be shooting a beach scene that is suposed to be in Miami and show the sun setting there; THAT is what is not possible in Miami. Yes, it IS possible on the West coast of Florida, but the show is suppossed to take place in Miami; It's CSI: Miami, not CSI: Florida...

umm, I'm planning to watch it, but until then have a question

Is this actually good? I mean isn't it another media that paints the import scene as unlawful and dangerous? Would it have the F&F effect?

Have it on my DVR and haven't watched it yet, but did see the opening scene. Lots 'o shots of the LS Z (gotta be quick to see 'em all, though; pause and frame by frame helps) and one shot of the black Z's front bumper/Varis duct. You can see the LS Z in the reflection of the black Z's bumper in that shot. Did catch one editing screw-up, though... they show the LS Z sitting with it's hood up and then show it driving by a bit later (you just see from the A-pillars up) and then right after you see another quick shot of it sitting with the hood up and girls checking out the motor.

Watching the guys head get lopped off frame by frame was pretty cool. LOL

I'll watch the rest tonight.
