Gave my mom a ride in my Z. Went sideways around the highway on-ramp. First she screamed, then got pissed and told me not to do that anymore.

okay so ive never been in a turbo'd car before so i have a question

are FI cars supposed to have that jerky motion as seen in the vid? or was it the way he was shifting? im was thinking it was maybe the turbo because it needs time to spool up? iono

had nothing to do with the turbo..basically nail the rest of 2nd or 3rd..then upshift and lift off the gas = sudden loss of acceleration

its just that with the extra power the difference between full throttle and no throttle is jarring

wow. 630whp! nice!

Reminds me of me taking my dad out in my 380whp EG hatch. Spinning 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and hit a top speed of 120 on a straight country road. When we left the driveway he freaked out when i 40-60mph floored it and told me it was enough...just like this vid. Ahhhh that was lots of fun.

Then I took him drifting in my single turbo halteched rx-7 and he wouldnt stop yelling....G'dammit......holy sheit....etc etc.

But always afterwards he is laughing all day long about how fun it was.

I LOL'd Thumbup:

My dad passed away when I was 16, but I know he'd love to go for a ride in my Z. I took my mom for a spin once, all I did was punch it a few times in 2nd and 3rd and she was yelling and grabbing for an "oh shít handle"
