Yes, the carbon build up is an issue with these RS4s. I got a carbon clean done when I bought mine and it gained close to 20kW!!

But there is a method to prevent the build up, one is installed an oil catch can. The other one, which is the one i prefer, is ensuring you drive it hard and rev it all the way to red line regularly.
