how's stillen's velocity stack, do you think they are so far with a better design than most of the intakes on the market, due to the sheild that encases the filter, and restricts the heated air from the engine bay.

+1....Velocity stacks FTMFW. I couldn't care less if the thing was the ugliest mod on the market as long as it sits in the engine bay. In fact I'm confused over the people that are buying intakes just for looks....

JWT's website...

I dig the Popcharger dyno portion that bold/large prints the Popcharger vs stock airbox comparison, then in very small print, posts the part about the stock filter being dirty...

If you are so confident in your product, JWT, then don't try to mislead...

You DO realize that ^ is from DSport Magazine, NOT JWT. Fucking people are blind. That's exactly how it was printed in the magazine.

Anyways, wtf kind of ricer buys an intake for the way it looks? You buy bodykits for the way they look. You buy intakes to go faster. Your hood usually remains closed when an intake is at work.

Hopefully the results are real...JWT has always been a great company and it wouldn't surprise me if these things made the power they posted..

That is from the DE single intake not the HR. I have the mag.

If I would get these I would paint the tube and sheild black for a more stock look. The stacks are the only thing going for the intake.

and JWT scanned the mag and put that in there to show people what someone who has nothing to do with them got as results.

notice the "DSport" logo on the pic, now who's f'ing blind?

i've personally read that mag, and yes it is a mag, and the comment in the pic is from the editor of the mag, not jwt

I understand it's a scanned image. However, DSport did not post the scan on JWT's website; JWT did. They are propagating that ad.

If you are so confident with your product, then knock off the small print crap. Do you see them posting a 6rwhp dyno gain? No. They want you (the buyer) to believe by putting that intake on, you also can get a 14/14 gain to the rear wheels. It's not until you read the small print, do you see the truth...

No better than a Turbonator ad, imo.

If you don't like it... then don't buy it. (not trying to bash anyone here... just seems like alot of senseless arguing over nothing).

ur an idiot

they could have cut it of so that u couldn't see the editor's note about the whole fresh or dirty filter and just let u see the before and after numbers on the top of the pic. but they didn't cut it off. so the the buyer could see that note and read it and know the true gain of the intake.

i'm done with u, i'm not gonna respond to anymore of ur comments on this topic, i hate arguing with idiots

ok...so my confusion is valid then. the TRUE gain is about 6 HP?

thanks HDPD for clearing that up for me. Even when someone answered my question i was still confused about which number represents what your SUPPOSE to get.

to me, anything posted in fine print is meant to be decieving. They hope the consumer doesnt see it, but protects the maker from false advertisement.

Thank you.

However, to be fair, the pic I listed was for the '06 and older Z's. However, I don't believe the dual PC setup will be that great either. Not enough people give credit to the efficiency of the stock airbox setup.

as of right now, im still confident in my setup... stock. lol, i've never really been a fan of replacing entire intake tube/filter. i've always stuck with stock piping and fit a filter at the end.

reading almost every post here... and seeing that the majority of the comments on these 'intakes' being that 'theyre fugly' are pretty funny.

its understandable that you want that chrome/ti look under the hood with the piping and theres nothing wrong with that... the stillen/fujita etc. already bring that to the table. but as far as performance goes i guess its what jwt was aiming for. =)

and i dont really understand why there are so many discussions and threads about intakes and people asking for dyno numbers... there isnt a difference between 5-10hp anyway esp. if its coming from your intakes.
