i'm willing to bet it was the exhaust swap that made the most difference. No dyno in the history of mankind (except manufacturer dynos) show an intake making ~17whp. However the difference on intake plus a proper exhaust could definately make that up.

Oh, AH, if you could, try to take pics of the stock headers and Stillen headers, side to side. Maybe we can notice some differences through there. Thanks.

+1 swapping both the intake and the exhaust at the exact same time pretty much voids any intake comparisons you were trying to make between stillen vs injen.

I can see every one jumping on injen bandwagon now just liek they did with fujitas about a year ago.Until enough independent test revealed fujitas either gained 0 or lost up to 10hp.LOL

I do appreciate your efforts though. As a whole you are doing a great job of showing what combinations work.

Yea i know what you mean. However i never stated this is an independent dyno for the injen. This is just a baseline dyno for the headers and jsut using guesses at the intake because its fun Although there is no proof is this dyno about the intake i think imo taht it does in fact GAIN WHP which is an important factor. It is up to everyone to conclude what they wish though. ANd im sure that sooner than later someone would have done a direct comparison of teh injen and stock or injen vs stillen so that is just a matter of time.

Im having Tony at Fast Intentions do the install and I'll tell him to take the pictures but if he forgets, then that is not my fault

i've been doing a lot of reading on all the technosquare reflash threads, and the power increase looks promising i just had a quick question though...does anyone know what 300whp is at the crank? i only ask because all the numbers i've studied in the past on different cars are numbers from the crank and not from the wheels. It would give me a better idea of how much power the car really has...haha sorry if this is a noob question...

You just said 300 wheel horsepower and since are cars have 306 at the crank im pretty sure it couldn't go down with a reflash. Now if you want to see how much that is at teh crank you would need to have taken down your baseline at teh wheels to see how much power you have. Lets say the car dynoed stock at 260 WHEELhp then 306/260= 1.1769230. If you take this number and multiply but 260 you get 306 again. Now take this number and multiple by your new number at the wheels(300WHP).
(1.1769230)(300WHP)=New crank HP = 353
Now this number would be different if your baseline was lower then this would be higher and if it was higher than this number would be lower. IF i made a mistake someone correct me and im sorry for the error.

EDIT: You can also use ratios and you get the same thing. 260/306=300/X Solve for X = 353

No problem. Dropped the car off at Fast Intentions and everything is going as planned. Tony is suppose to take pictures of the headers side to side with my manifolds so i should have those pics. Picking up the car Wednesday afternoon but am not goign to push the car till Thursday when i swap back rims with my friend who currently has my volks and i have his stocks(https://my350z.com/forum/media-share...abor-pics.html). But i'll make another sound clip along with my intial impressions and should have it up before midnight Thursday.

Nope, the website says it'll ship by the 15th. If i don't get my pulleys by the 22nd then i won't be able to do my final reflash/tune/before and after for pullies dynos till another 3-4 weeks because my appointment for technosquare is teh 25th and after that tadashi is going back to japan on a business trip.....

That would suck if that didn't happen. Is he charging you for each reflash? or what's the deal?

This baseline i did was free but i have to pay 75 for the header dyno, then 300 to dyno the pullies, reflash and tune the car with about 15-20 dyno runs. So 375 total for everything
