GTM Test Pipes installed; raspy as hell
I've gotten me gtm test pipes installed on monday and I just can't stand the rasp I get when I stomp on it.
when it was on the lift the rasp sounds like its coming from the muffler is there ANY way to fix this? New exhaust?

Do you have resonated test pipes or un-resonated? If teh rasp is as bad as you say it's probably unreasonated and i'd recommend a swap to resonated test pipes or HFC if you really hate rasp. I have RTP and no rasp here

Question about Y-pipe
Are they same from VQde to VQhr?
I went on motordyne website and I can't find the y-pipe for HR exactly.
So I was wondering if they are the same.
What I know is cat is not the same so I guess Y-pipe shouldn't be the same then.
Am I correct?
I'm looking to get rid of my Raspy too. I have AAM test pipe and stock Y-pipe then straight mid-pipe then Muffler.
It's just straight from headers to muffler.
At 3k rpm my car just sound like CRX

I've heard from a fellow forum member that the 07's have better flowing OEM midpipes compared to the DE Z's but I don't know the validity of his statement. However, aftermarket midpipes from all years will fit. And the cats actually are basically the same, the only thing that changed was the flange of the cat on the side it attaches to the headers( not allwing you to use 03-06 aftermarket cats) but the other flange connecting to the mid-pipe is the same.
I havnt heard of this either, but if keeping the exhaust gas hot flowing quickly is a way to reduce rasp than this may solve rasp. The best solution for me was to make sure all my piping matched up and get the MD XYZ y pipe w/ a resonator. I have 2.5'' HFC cats to 2.5'' y pipe with a 3'' merge exiting from a JIC single 3'' exhaust.
Most people who have the JIC exhaust have a lot of rasp.. not mine!

not sure what size tps they are but here is the link https://my350z.com/forum/product-ann...ml#post6850733
cant post pics with my google phone
reason i got these was bc of the extended o2 sensor plug to prevent cel.
you think i could take my car to an exhaust shop to install some resonators or use the money towards a y-pipe?
And anyone know of any other y pipes with resonators? I'm looking at some ypipes and none of them say whether or not they have resonators. Or am I just dumb and can you just see them on the actual pipings of the ypipe? The little roundish looking things on the pipes are they the resonators? Lol, I'm so paranoid
