resale value increase?
However, generally (not 350z specific) resale values on "used cars" are going up, but only because the supply of used cars is starting to dwindle.
Consider that 2/3 of every new car purchase involves some kind of trade-in. Since new cars sales are way down, retailers can’t get their hands on enough used cars to meet demand at their dealerships. More and more dealers are going to auctions and outbidding each other to take the limited supply of quality used cars back home with them. Thus raising the price they have to sell the car for. So technically, you should be able to trade-in a used car for a good value since you are delivering the goods to the dealership without any competition.
Sorry, but they won't go up. Car salesman like to throw that hooey around, but it just ain't so. Previous generation cars always take a nose-dive after new ones come out. Unless you're talking Ferrari, but no on all others.

or nsxs, lambos, porches, evos. or e46 m3s, orrrr rx-7s ive seen some hold value selling for a pretty high price. i guess it just depends on how the 350 will be viewed down the road..common piece of ****? or hot piece of ***
my bad i guess i didnt really pay attention, when i was looking for one about a year ago before i got my z they were still in the upper 30's or so
some porsche's do well (most prominently, the 90's air cooled models, especially turbos, and the "rarer" 911's like the RS-A
water cooled 996's are worth less than these earlier models
BMW's - E36 and E46 don't tend to have fantastic resale value....E36 lightweight being the rare exception
NSX's - resale is ok on later models due to the sheer lack of cars sold. Earlier models can be picked up for little $ now (I've seen them go for under $20k at times)
There simply are too many Z's out there of all kinds to have it be worth any significant $ long term - doesn't change the fact that it's a terrific value/dollar, whether new or used
I'd disagree strongly

I agree the 350Z represents great value. It has been massed produced so who knows what the future holds for a tidy low miler.

BEHHH!!!!
Just gives us more incentive to make ours a little more unique
When I bought my Z it wasn't because of what I thought the resale value was going to be in a few years. It was because I wanted it and my blood was pumping when I drove it. Still does. I deal with the resale value when that time comes around.
