hey you said $5k, and HPDE's are great. you're not the first person to put on BBK's just cuz they went to a few HPDE's, but brake fade isn't exactly a huge problem for the friday-at-the-track type racer.

lol, btw i find it funny that you're implying that i'm gay, yet you're asking me out for a beer. but sure thing i'd be happy to, don't want you to have hurt feelings over $4000 worth of braking hardware.

if the stock brakes don't hold up for half of one session (as is the case with me), then its a worthwhile upgrade if he can afford it, which obviously he can

fair enough, so if my stock air filter is toast and it needs to be replaced, and i can afford blowing $330 on a replacement, then it's a worthwhile upgrade, right?

not really, you can buy replacement oem filters for 27 bucks for both after tax (in my state). and the stock intakes can take all the abuse that the injen's can and then some.

i'm well aware the oem filters are cheaper, but if i can afford something that might arguably have slightly better capacity (and you can't prove that it doesn't considering nobody's dynoed this yet), then that's my choice right? just like his with the bbk?

^yeah, same principle as gambling. it may or may not be better... but the bbk is a known improvement, where as the intake is less than 50/50 (less than cause other shortram intakes have been proven useless, some even counterproductive). so in the end, its not the same thing as his bbk

i've checked the brake temps under track load on a stock Z versus those with brembos, and i never disputed the BBK's benefits overall, just not for his use. my argument was more about bashing one's choice of mod, the price had nothing to do with it. perhaps the bride seats would've been a better example?

i would, but since exhaust mods are so beneficial on the Z i'll hate on the seats instead. better?

haha, hey i just thought it was hypocritical. i figured my initial post would be beneficial to somebody considering that nobody had this setup before.

probably. if he goes to a brake heavy track at all, then the bbk (he didn't have brembo's before the upgrade iirc) is fine for his use. the seats, maybe not...

The seats are "low max" and since I am 6'6" I HAD to get them to fit in with a helmet.

( got them used . bwt )

so ironically i have spent a **** load of money just to learn how to drive...
