Default Looking to install Oil/Water Temp gauges and Oil Cooler, advice

Looking to get a reasonable solution for this as I have seen my temperature on my car increase by just the factory gauge when on the track. I am going to probably install the gauges under the dash cover that flips up. I wanted your recommendation on what gauges and system you recommend I install. Also for the oil cooler, is there a kit that works on our cars already made? Any advice on this would be great as well.

Thanks guys.

P.S. They said amber but actually its red.

And for the oil cooler check GTM website.

FWIK putting both the hoses on the bottom like that one doesn't allow to purge the air from inside the oil cooler.... will just "compress" the air based on oil pressure.
and honestly that oil cooler looks.. "weak" at least compared to my setrab 619 that is quite bigger.

FYI on the nismo we have the front yamaha damper and you probably need to go around it.

I'll let you know. The oil filter fits on the sandwich plate and there's not much to the rest of it. Just mount the core and run the hoses.

Wonder if this one will work on our cars..

or

I know they also have a oil cooler as it's on their G37. So I would assume that would work. Stillen also has one.

I've heard mixed opinions on that. However mine isn't on yet so I will cross that bridge when I get to it.

The core is a pretty simple part (in function) and I haven't heard anything bad about tru-cool cores so why not try it. It was $45 and if it does ALMOST the same thing as a $2xx unit then I am happy.

The yamaha damper is the least of my worries on my car.

Couldn't you just flip it over and have the hose go up instead at the bottom? That would solve the air issue. I also would not just use tie straps to hold the hose on like he did and use clamps.

Where the oil filter mounts, I would also have the hoses going into the side of it and not down so it gives more clearance under the car.

Otherwise I like his install. Not sure how much all the parts cost in his kit though. But I am not going to spend over $400 for a oil cooler kit. (Sorry Ataru).

Don't be sorry... you'll get what you'll pay for..
http://www.gtmotorsports.com/product...cat=444&page=1
are 380$ bucks.

sorry, but considering that you track the car I don't think that will be 100$ on a 7/800$ (including the two thermometers and part of the install) that will make any difference.

oil cooler + oil temperature gauge + water temperature gauge + install.
(the water will become the critical point once you'll install the oil cooler)

Hmmmm.....thanks for the pics. I am surprised you drilled a hole for the water temp on the side of that instead of having that adapter for one of the hoses. I will probably get that gauge. It's hard for me to tell how you have it mounted though. What is that red button?

Scooby guys recommend these gauges and my friend just got some. Pretty nice and really reasonable.

So how do you hook up a oil temp gauge when you have a oil cooler? Does the adapter you have allow one to be connected to it for a 1/8" NPT?

the gauge is mounted with a greddy adapter... the red button is to access the function of the gauge and recall the top temperature reached.
