Default Engine dampener for HR?

Anyone have one? Does anyone even make one for the HR? I looked at some of the existing ones for the DE engine, but saw nothing in terms of it working on the HR.

How about solid motor mounts? Admittedly I did not search for solid mounts for our engine since I drive my Z daily and would like to retain what little civility it has.

eh, they were pointless (IMHO) on the DE. With the advent of the rear diff bushings, the rear traction issue is all but resolved. The engines really don't have much movement to them. Certainly not like most other cars out there. I can't see how it would be all that beneficial to the HR. I'd rather focus on the stuff the car really needs

Oooh, okay.

How about a hood mount that makes it open like the old 240SX.

AaaandGO!

PS, check out my sig. Pretty dope, huh?

But if it isn't needed on our cars, so be it. Just curious.

anyone have a picture of this installed?

i knew these existed for some engines, and i kinda want one for my vq35HR swapped s13. my concern is for tight clearances as much as 'loss of power due to vibrations' though.

anyone know how much reduction in total movement there is? or does it just slow down the frequency of vibrations and leave the maximum torque related twist mostly unaffected?

What kinda intake is that? Looks like wall insulation... does it actually function the way I assume it's supposed to?

It appears the be an Injen intake and he put some form of insulation over it to stave off the dreaded and fictional "heat soak".

Looks good under that hood though, minus the insulation. Notice anything different after putting on the damper? Extra vibrations in the cabin? How easy was the install?

Fictional heat soak? It's very real imo. Have you guys felt the ingen tubes after even just a cruise around the block? The ugly wrap serves its purpose, it definately keeps the tubes cooler. You can't see it, but there is more shielding on the bottom half of the tubes. There is a reason Nissan choose plastic/rubber composites for those bits.

Install was pretty easy, hardest part is fitting the socket into those spaces. Universal joint ftw.

Added some vibrations, I don't hear much of a difference, I feel it through the steering wheel under hard accelleration.

Other end bolts to the lower front of the passenger strut tower. You replace a bolt with a slightly longer one provided by Stillen.

About 7" end to end from eye bolts.
