What type of dyno was this on?

I blame all the inconsistency on parts to dyno results on the tuner!

I've said it...

I too blame the tuner. The first two tunes (289whp and 309whp) with problems with hot starts was all done by one tuner who use to tune civics, Inegras little cars like that and build them as well. So this last time I took a pro tuner (Jared) fixed my hot start problem and I asked him to install the new OKD Plasma coil packs and retune it, he got the car up to the 315whp and brought the trq up from 247 to 255wtq.

Well guys I think this is worth updating this old thread. Finally got the chance to tune my car with the Art pipes Motordyne V2 full exhaust Stillen g3 intakes cams, ID725cc injectors and oKD plasma coils packs. With a great Tuner @ JMS Racing.

Nice power. I wish I could find more info on the Greddy's. Those or the Tomei's are next on my radar.

WOW!

Nice jump in torque, and at 322 whp. That's about 70 Hp over stock at the flywheel. Why show mph on graph not rpm?

You wouldn't happen to have numbers with your progression of mods, would you? This is amazing to see.

How's your fuel consumption with the 725 cc injectors?

Well since I like modding my car like crazy the dyno sessions are not accurate to which part did what or what not. My last tune I had the 725cc injectors cams and the injen CAIs and Invidia Gemini exhaust (which to me made the car feel wimpy the exhaust even sounded non-aggressive even with test pipes. So I got Art pipes and Motordyne TDX V2 exhaust. I loved the exhaust note right away and felt great. Oh and about fuel consumption I have no Idea if the digital MPG meter on our dash is accurate but if it is I was averaging 39.7 mpg. If it is not accurate from Laredo to San Antonio is a 3 hour drive and gulp 1/2 a tank one way full tank round trip. Oh the rpm was supposed to go on the instead of the mph but he said due to some wierd issue he was having with my OKD plasma coil packs too much noise or some thing like that. Like for instance on one of the runs I saw the car made 400 wtq but you could see the torque curve going smooth and then a spike like at 4100rpm jumping to 400 wtq but the torque on all runs was always at 266-268 so only like 3 of the runs came out smooth like this copy I'm posting

Those are the numbers I was expecting to see from your car, I really doubt how well Uprev in Austin knows how to tune a car properly....

Glad to see that through all the bull crap you went through, it came out right

PS, I helped work on testing your fuel pressure while it was in Austin when I was waiting on my car to get on the dyno

Default This is a friendly msg.

I've been watching you build & rebuid for two years. You got me by maybe 40whp now. You promised to go after me/my et time.
I'm still waiting

That sounds a lot better than your old exhaust!! I am happy to see the new numbers and all the kinks worked out! Any plans to make it faster?

I'm still debating wether or not to remove the art pipes and slap on some PPEs or just leave it the way it is.

Nice car MM...solid numbers and I love the sound In fact your car (after hearing it on YT) was the one that sold me on the TDX V2 a while back

Plz do I need a guinea pig so I can follow the lead haha. I'd imagine you could probably gain something like 15-20whp with the PPE's over your current setup if I had to take a intuitive guess (if you had biggers cams it would likely be even more dramatic I would imagine).

I've been planning to do the PPE's myself, but have been waiting to see someone do a legit comparison. I'm also worried a bit about the sound (although hemoltz resonators could likely be added to clean up the rasp) and general gains, as living here in Cali with the strict smog laws doesn't make the decision between shorties/test pipes & LT's quite so easy.

Slap some PPE's on and finish up that build!

03Screamer - I'll be a guinea pig next summer with dynojet before/afters :]
