Default 370z with hr heads.

I am not sure if this was answered before.

If the 370 pistons are replaced with HR pistons would the piston be the same height as the deck?

Yes but the 3.7 heads are much different, using the VVEL technology. I've thought of the possibility of tossing a 3.7 bottom end in an HR 350, but in the end i'd probably go bigger on a stroker setup anyway. In for educated input though.

yes, look up my thread on the370z forum
Megan370z or google Journal Megan370z forum

if you have the 370z and want the HR head.... good luck with that if you aren't good using your hand and reading/understanding the FSM with the wiring stuff...

Ive only done it because I plan to use JWT cams later on this year.

so its more than just swaping some pistons/rods/crank/timing cover and everything else....

why do you want the HR heads ? if its not to built an monster N/A engine. stick with FI..

86mm stroke with HR pistons.

yup they fit together no problem.

the only issue is if you start with only the VQ37VHR since you will need everything the HR need
but if starting from the 350z HR engine/car .. you just need the VHR crank/rods
keep in mind there is some clearance issue with the HR piston
you need to grind them at 2 spots.
don't forget to inspect the crank bearing clearance too !
