Default Z1 hfc problems

I recently installed Z1 hfcs on my 08 350z with a bassani td exhaust system. The left one was contacting the body and rattling on the heat shield. It was also leaking where it met the manifold. The right one is sealing fine and has clearance from the body (granted, it's not much, but it's enough). I contacted Z1 and they sent me a replacement. This cat was just as bad, same fitment issue, same leakage. It also isn't seating right on my X pipe. I have no idea what is causing this, my stock cats sealed and cleared just fine. Should I just say **** it and seal it with rtv and heat wrap where it is rattling? Or should I request a refund and buy some berk hfcs to try them? I'm really pretty aggravated by this situation and any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I have the Berk HFC's and did not have any issues with the fitment.
There is still enough clearance with heat shields etc and have no rattles.
Been driving it now around 3-3,5K miles and no issues.

Maybe the fitment on the flanges has more to do with the exhaust?
Can be that the exhaust doesn't really line up nicely?

i had the kinetix on my 08 and the drivers side was really close to the heat shield and make it rattle, i got under there with a pry bar and bent the heat shield away from it some. did you use your old gaskets or new ones?

bro its not the cats, the main problem we bassani system owners have is since we don't have flex pipes we can't move around the flange right to seal properly. i bought like 2 separate test pipes and have had the same issue with both of them having a small leak where the X pipe meets the cat. pretty much the flanges are stuck to where the guy who was making the system had it lined up to. hope this helps man.
