Labour for clutch and flywheel when doing recall
So I have an appointment at nissan to get my slave replaced (hopefully fix my "dead" pedal, already replaced master) and I ordered a jwt flywheel and clutch and asked how much Labour will they charge since tranny is dropped and opened and they said 1 hour for clutch and flywheel.
Does that sound reasonable? I just assumed its a simple unbolt and bolt up and wouldn't take more than 0.5 hours?

Nissan dealers, just like every other legit shop goes by the "labor hours needed" as prescribed by Alldata or other industry accepted guidelines for hours required for specific jobs.
Only difference is the labor RATE.
I am one of those people that detests when people second guess dealerships and calls them rude names like "stealerships".... never mind that without them and the inherently higher rates charged, no one here would even own a 350Z.
Dealer personnel have to learn new cars and technologies every year and must be certified at many levels. That isn't cheap so I suggest to those that would diss the dealership structure and their pricing.... well, good luck running your own businesses one day, all the while trying to stay current while not investing in your own personnel and backend resources like the dealers do.

Jeebus, if someone came to me and said they'll do my clutch and flywheel for 1 hr labor I wouldn't be able to throw my wallet at them fast enough.....seriously. keep in mind that I dropped my Trans to do the clutch, flywheel, master cylinder, lines, and HD slave cylinder.....not exactly a fun job to do.
