Look at my previous post. And C6's can do better than high 12s. I'm not sure about others, but I'm talking about the absolute best time possible out of the 370Z.

The 370z will be a low 13 sec 1/4 mile car (on average). That's if the rumors are true about its weight and hp.
Yes, with excellent driving and track conditions (sea level, cold dry air, sticky track, favorable wind, etc) guys will pull high 12s. But that will not be the norm. Average drivers with average track conditions will be pulling low 13s.
And the current 350z is not a low 13 sec car (on average). Yes, some 350z owners have run low 13s, but most have not. The majority of stock 350z's run mid 13s or slower at the track.
I frequent the new Camaro forums and they had a thread similar to this. A bunch of future Camaro SS owners have been talking about running low to mid 12s (bone stock).
Yes, it will probably happen on a 30 degree day at ATCO with a 30mph tail wind. But the Camaro SS will not run that fast on average.
And many stock C6's have run low 12s (FYI).

Newer model coming out with 315HP, direct injection and PDK tranny? Close call... especially with the PDK. I'm going to guess nearly the exact same. About 4.9 and 13 flat for runs to 60 and 1/4 mile times.

and with a decent driver behind the wheel the new z i think should be in the low 13's. With the better drivers dipping down to around 12.7-12.8. and trap speeds of around 105-111

Id prefer to wait and see too but the guessing game can be fun....As mentioned the HR is already doing 13.1's at best so its logical to assume that the 370 with less weight and a bit more power should be a 12 sec car. The new trick autos may get it there before the manual versions. As for the mph I think 109-110mph trap is not unreasonable if the HR has done 107-108 mph at best.

I don't think people realize that this hypothetical/theoretical assumptions for the 1/4 mile run are for the ABSOLUTE BEST RUN POSSIBLE. Currently, the 350Z (HR) has pulled off 13.1 with multiple drivers in different areas. 12.9xx is possible given better than perfect conditions with an awesome driver.
Assuming the Z34 to have less weight and more power, my assumptions shouldn't be too far off.
I don't think most of you realize what really matters at the drag strip or how things are even done. Please educate yourself first on the topic of drag racing before posting.

I think I'm gonna wait till the "official" specs comes out to make my assumptions. BUT I will say this (and this is common sense), the current Z was able to do 13.3 in the 1/4 miles (magazine date) so, the 370Z will do better than that. I am def seeing the new Z in 12s. Also I should mention that for 1/4 mile data, I ALWAYS rely on the magazine specs because forum members "personal" 1/4 mile has too many variables.
